This will be an awefully big adventure |
Mendoza, Argentina
There needs to be more words like stupendous, extraordinary, heavenly, etc. I never have enough to describe the places I visit.
Traveling to Mendoza, Argentina with my Mexicanos was awesome. Really…inspiring awe. The city itself is so modern compared to what I’m used to here and reminded me SO much of Seattle in parts. We bicycled through the city, seeing and visiting vineyards (I bought 2 bottles of wine), ate in a beer garden (Chilean empanadas are both bigger and tastier than Argentinian), sampled the national beer (twice…..RIQUISIMA!), explored (bought way too many Alfajores……MY HEAVEN), visited the thermal baths (think hot springs but hotter with the Andes as a backdrop), and ate bife de chorizo (the best steak you’ll have in your life if you’re lucky enough to try it and that’s before you realize it only cost $13). We also stayed in the cutest hostal with yummy yummy Argentinian breakfast…which consists of a ton of croissants. My brother Jonathan would have fainted from delight.
In other words, if Argentina doesn’t see me again before July 15th I think we’ll both be surprised.
